SHIP CHRISTENING OF THE "TUI MAYA"

The new TUI River Cruiser was christened in a small but festive setting. Sinus handled all the technical aspects for the event on the sun deck. In addition to lighting, sound, video, and the stage, a Sinus camera crew recorded the event. Highlights of the evening included, in addition to the speeches, the glowing stilt walkers, the atmospheric musical accompaniment by a violinist, and the fountains created when the champagne bottle shattered against the ship’s hull. The bottle was swung with pinpoint accuracy against the ship’s hull using a Kabuki system from Sinus. After a successful event, it was time to demonstrate teamwork, as the subsequent dismantling had to be completed by 3:00 a.m., when the ship was set to depart. But that was no problem for our well-coordinated team.
The Sinus camera crew remained on board for another three days and filmed additional scenes in collaboration with TUI.
